208 and a half
My name is David Pletts and I live in East Anglia, UK. I am 67 and have worked in various jobs including printing, teaching and working on the British railway system. Almost all my life I have had an interest in music, and for many years on and off have been a church organist. About 25 years ago I became interested in electronics, particularly in sound producing equipment. I bought a small synthesisier and did some multi-track recording. Next an interest in computing meant that I was using computers (Ataris and Amigas) for composing, using trackers. Now I still use some pretty basic, inexpensive, software for music making, mainly employing Magix Music Maker, Cubasis VST 5, and AudioMulch with many VST instruments and effects to create sounds and sequence them in addition to using 'found' loops and samples from various sources. Other examples of my music can be found at http://www.soundclick.com/208andahalf http://www.tapegerm.com/jamroom/bands/664/

Anti - Gravity Workshop
Anti - Gravity Workshop is progressive electronik loop based computer music structured on the concept that there are signs of interdimensional beings that inhabit hidden realms of our planet. http://www.tapegerm.com/jamroom/bands/170/

Brian Cantwell
Brian Cantwell appears on many recordings made in the early Salt Lake City days, most often on lead guitar. An attempt at an album of live acoustic material along with Wayne Baker was made that resulted in 4-5 songs

Buzzsaw & The Shavings
Having spent the better, or at least indifferent portions of the last 15 years or so on the periphery of various too-well defended musical scenes alerted to my presence in a creative Scythia releasing cassette, vinyl and CD indie morsels perfectly spiced to tempt the appetite of Folly, I drew too near to Tapegerm and I was captured in a wend of loop, and in the ensuing struggles to free myself, a fresh provision of Folly decided to call the result a mix. http://www.zentone.com

C. Goff III
Taped Rugs Productions. A dream or maybe not a dream, but like a candy bar stuffed in a horn, like a buffalo horn, the corn dried and ready to pop, then popping, then chewing, then digesting, then singing at the cocktail lounge with Sammy and Dean. http://www.geocities.com/padukem

Code Mango
From the city that introduced the world to Al Capone, Eli's Cheesecake, house music, The Super Bowl Shuffle and the 2006 Arena Bowl XX champs the Rush comes native-born, raised and based electronic artist Code Mango. Code Mango creates electronic music in an abstract manner devoted to the universal following one listener at a time (and they tell their two friends and they tell their two friends and so on and so on and so on......), Code Mango's production techniques are summarized as possessing the determined zeal of a mad scientist and the loose approach of a syndicated TV chef (i.e. Dr. Frankenstein uniting with Emeril). Exploring diverse genres and styles of music, extracting each's significant rhythms and sounds, combining them using an unknown random formula and finally, creating output like no other in the musical spectrum, let alone the electronic music field, are beneficial to open one's ears and mind, while bending the imagination like a Twizzle stick. In layman's terms, listeners beware! http://codemango.net/

cystem
I've been making music for quite awhile. Got hooked on electronic music in the late 80's and started making some in the early 90's. I have a thing for drum loops and a problem being subtle. I used to play guitar and still pick it up once in awhile. Consider yourself warned. http://www.tapegerm.com/jamroom/bands/45/

David Fuglewicz
I'm an independent, experimental audio artist. I've been recording since the early 1980's and releasing my work since 1990 in cassette and CDR format. I create with sound to evoke moods, feelings or visions with my sonic sculptures. From euphoria to madness, my compositions can be gently beautiful to obnoxiously noisy. http://www.davefuglewicz.com

Electro-Spike
Hi. I'm Rev. Spike Beasley; singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vinyl collector and karaoke-addict. I'm also a cartoonist. I like the weird and unusual, the humorous. I recorded for years on my 4-track and lately have been TRYING to better understand Acid 4.0. It seems simple enough, but I still have no clue how to make my own loops, or to affect the loops I do have (stretching, inverting, effects) so any help on this would be greatly appreciated! http://www.myspace.com/electrospike

Eli Zodiak
Solo Experimental NoISe unit, previously using circuit bent electronics, various instruments, found audio, etc. but now sonically creating exclusively through the mighty TAPEGERM community! http://www.myspace.com/elizodiak

fluffy porcupine
Previously hailing from Las Cruces, NM, fluffy porcupine now wreaks havoc (or, as some would have it, merely reeks) from a secret enclave in New York City. fluffy porcupine is fronted by the enigmatic fluffy, who is not a porcupine. Styles vary from folk electronica to acid emo industrial punk, with a few heaping tablespoons of J-pop and 80s butt-rock thrown in for good measure. And yet, all fluffy wants is to be loved. http://beesbuzz.biz

Gregg Allen & bf baker
Gregg Allen was one of the earliest people to collaborate with me. There were lots of recording sessions at lots of different places. Great times.

Hal McGee
I have been making homemade recordings of my own experimental, electronic, industrial and noise music since September 1981. In the 1980s I recorded with Debbie Jaffe, under the name Viscera, and solo under the name Dog As Master. From 1984-87 Jaffe and I operated the Cause And Effect International Distribution Service. We distributed more than 5,000 tapes of homemade experimental music. From 1989 to 1991 I published six issues of the homemade experimental music magazine Electronic Cottage. In 1998 I produced the Tape Heads compilation series of recordings by more than 200 audio artists. I have released more than 150 albums, and in addition to numerous solo works I have collaborated with Chris Phinney, Dave Fuglewicz, Charles Rice Goff III, Andrew Chadwick (Ironing), Al Margolis, Brian Noring, Phil Klampe, Big City Orchestra, Jeph Jerman, and many others. I recently started doing live performances again. http://www.halmcgee.com/Music/

Insecta Sonic
Insecta Sonic is created from the larval mind of a sonic deviant who is interested in exploring and creating new musical lifeforms. Insecta Sonic is a genre bending shape shifting, transdimensional machine elf from the multiverse of infinite frequencies. Transmitting from radio paradox in sector 23 on planet Hollywood a doorway has been opened to travel between the light and the dark.... http://www.insectasonic.com/

International Garbageman
International Garbageman collects sounds and harmonies. Melts them down. Sometimes something useful can be discovered after this process of garbage handling. Being eclectic minded, he likes simple pop songs as well as complex noise structures. Or why not a mix of both! (I am sometimes also known as Miulew or as my real name Bjorn Eriksson.) http://miulew.blogspot.com/

Jack Shite
Jack Shite is a virtual DIY recording artist associated with the Songfight! online music community. Jack has contributed to over 50 songfights since his birth nearly 2 years ago. Jack Shite's music can be found on Songfight! and somesongs, and he is a founding member of spewgrass.com. http://www.jackshite.com

Joe Maki
Joe Maki and I had a band project which created dozens of songs over 15+ years, beginning with early 4-track recordings and on to more elaborate DAW creations. There was a prolific period in the summer of 2001 where Joe and I were working steadily toward putting together a live show and many songs came out of this. Throughout the years there were lots and lots of late night recording sessions and tons of good time. A true friend for life, this guy.
